Project 5: Skeleton Boss

As the environment artist on the unreleased game 'Project 5' — a top-down action adventure based on a beloved THQ Nordic IP — I worked on many interactive key assets, as well as simple environmental assets. The usual pipeline involved sculpting in ZBrush, creating a low-poly mesh in Blender, baking and texturing it in Substance 3D Painter, and then implementing the asset into the KAIKO proprietary engine and making it fit the artistic vision.

With my background in human anatomy, it's been an absolute blast to work on this unique enemy, especially as it was the ultimate culmination of collaborative effort from every department in the studio. The base model was originally created for the skeleton enemy seen in this Artstation post https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Zl9mgw . Utkarsh Agnihotri then modified it into its current shape, and I added meshes to make the enemy feel unique, such as webbing, bone spikes, teeth and muscle. I also created textures for the new parts and adjusted the existing ones to align with the artistic vision.
